Location:From US 34 & I-76 interchange, take CO 39 north 7.25 miles through Goodrich, then west on Y5 for 2.5 miles.
Facilities:260 campsites (163 with electrical hookups), showers, restrooms, groupcampground, 60 picnic sites, group picnic area, snack bar, naturetrail, swimming beach, boat ramp, marina, mooring/docking, boat rental,jet ski rental, sailboard rental, visitor/nature center (é).
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, jet skiing,sailboarding, hunting (with restrictions), cross-country skiing, iceskating, ice fishing, winter camping, bird watching, interpretiveprograms (seasonal).
Special Features:Once known primarily for the hunting around its banks, Jackson Lake hasbecome a site for outdoor recreation and water sports. The park is alsoknown for its warm water, with sandy bottom and shore, and for itsabundance of diverse bird species.

Jackson Lake State Park
Location:25 miles northeast of Portsmouth, in the southeast corner of the state.
Facilities:34 campsites with electricity, picnic areas, picnic shelters, swimming beach, boat ramps, game courts, playgrounds.
Activities:Camping, boating (10 HP limit), fishing, swimming, sledding, ice fishing, ice skating.
Special Features:Once the heart of the iron-producing region, the area still contains the remains of Jefferson Iron Furnace, one of the last iron-smelting furnaces to shut down. It its heyday, it supplied part of the metal necessary to adorn the iron-clad Monitor, the famous battleship of the Civil War.
