Special Features:Refuge provides suitable habitat for several endagered species and preserves a remnant example of the historic valley uplands in the San Joaquin Desert.
Habitats: 11,249 acres which include natural valley grasslands and developed marsh.
Access: Open daily, from dawn to dusk.
Wild life: Migratory wildfowl and shorebirds, as well as endangered Buena Vista Lake shrew, San Joaquin kit fox, and the blunt-nosed leopard lizard..
