Novgorod sculptor who lived at the end of the 13th and the beginning of the 14th centuries.

Avram pieced together the captured western gate (executed 1152–56) for the cathedral of St. Sophia in Novgorod. On the gate he placed a sculptured portrait of himself holding his tools in his hands and bearing the inscription “Master Avram.”
