JavaScript rollover

JavaScript rollover

Using JavaScript to change the appearance of a graphic when the pointer is moved (rolled) over it. JavaScript rollovers are used to highlight elements in navigation bars and produce other graphics effects. They have been supported in browsers starting with IE 4, Netscape 3 and Opera 3.1. See JavaScript.

JavaScript Code Changes the Image
As the screen pointer is moved across the options in a navigation bar, the elements change color indicating that they can be selected if you click now. JavaScript is often used to control such changing elements as in this example where the pointer is over Download Demo.
