Joint Health Advisory Cell

Joint Health Advisory Cell

An advisory body in the UK which formerly sat at a “gold” (strategic) level of command during a major public health incident, usually physically removed from an incident’s epicentre in a regional or national centre. The JHAC was superseded in 2005 by the Health Advice Team (HAT), which in turn was replaced in 2007 by the Scientific and Technical Advice Cell (STAC).
