Kandava

a city in Tukums Raion, Latvian SSR. Located on the Abava River, a tributary of the Venta, 7 km from the Kan-dava station on the Riga-Ventspils railroad line and 95 km west of Riga. There is a dairy and a sovkhoz-technicum for the mechanization of agriculture.
