Cardiology The subspecialty of cardiology that focuses on diagnostic or therapeutic cardiovascular procedures–eg, coronary angiography, imaging and nonimaging total stress tests–thallium stress test, SPECT, gated blood pool studies, echocardiography, coronary artery revascularization procedures–stenting, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty.
