Karelian Labor Commune

an autonomous regionalunit of the RSFSR, formed by a decree of the All-Russian Cen-tral Executive Committee on July 8, 1920, from the Karelianpopulation of Olonets and Arkhangel’sk provinces. On the basisof a decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of July 23, 1923, the Karelian Labor Commune was reorganized asthe Karelian ASSR.
