Facilities:More than 300 campsites (49 with electrical hookups), showers, playground, outdoor group camp, backpack campsites, horsemen's camp, picnic areas, enclosed day-use shelter, concessions, multi-use trails (132 miles), visitor center, scenic vista, auto tour, boat launch.
Activities:Camping (including winter camping), boating, canoeing, fishing, hunting, swimming, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, naturalist programs.
Special Features:Forest features several kames, which are irregularly shaped hills or mounds composed chiefly of poorly sorted sand and gravel deposited by a sub-glacial stream. Dundee Kame (aka White Kame) is known throughout the world by geology students because of its near-perfect form. The Kame field offers visitors a chance to experience the rock, rubble, and gravel insides of a kame up close.
