Location:5 miles south of Southbury, Exit 15 off I-84.
Facilities:68 partly wooded and open campsites (open mid-May to October 1), picnic tables (é), bathrooms (é).
Activities:Camping, youth group camping (must apply in writing), freshwater fishing, swimming, hiking.
Special Features:Park borders Lake Zoar, an impoundment of the Housatonic River. Whensettlers first arrived in this area, they purchased a large tract ofland from the Native Americans for one brass kettle, so the nameKettletown was given to it. All of the state park lies within theboundaries of the original purchase.
