Inzer
an urban-type settlement in the Beloretsk Raion of the Bashkir ASSR. It is situated near the confluence of the Malyi Inzer and Bol’shoi Inzer (Kama basin). It is the terminus on the railroad line from Magnitogorsk. Inzer has a timber procurement establishment.
Inzer
(Bol’shoi Inzer), a river in the Bashkir ASSR, a left tributary of the Sim River (part of the Belaia River basin). Length, 307 km; basin area, 5,380 sq km. It arises on the western slopes of the southern Urals, where it is known as the Bol’shoi Inzer. A mountain river in its upper reaches, in its lower course it flows more peacefully through a wide valley. The main source of its waters is melting snow. The average annual rate of flow at the village of Azovo is 50.9 cu m per sec. The Inzer freezes in the middle of November and thaws in the middle of April. Its major right tributary is the Malyi Inzer. The river is used to float logs.
