K0011000 (kăng′kə-kē′) A river rising in northern Indiana and flowing about 145 km (90 mi) southwest to join the Des Plaines River and form the Illinois River in northeast Illinois. It was about 380 km (240 mi) long prior to channelization in the 1900s.
