Location:Northeast Illinois, 6 miles northwest of Kankakee, just south of IL 102 and north of IL 113; accessible from I-55 and I-57.
Facilities:110 Class A campsites, 2 cabins, more than 150 Class B (with electric)and C campsites, equestrian campground (seasonal), youth group campingarea, trails, picnic areas and shelters, concession stand, 2 boatramps, visitor center.
Activities:Camping, boating (10 HP limit), canoeing, fishing, hiking,bicycling, horseback riding, hunting, cross-country skiing,snowmobiling, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park straddles the Kankakee River for 11 miles, in an area used for recreation since the 1890s. Several prehistoric sites are documented within the park's boundaries.
