Iurii Denisiuk

Denisiuk, Iurii Nikolaevich

 

Born July 27, 1927, in Sochi. Soviet physicist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1970).

Since graduating from the Leningrad Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics in 1954, Denisiuk has been working at the State Optical Institute, where he has been head of a laboratory since 1961. He has written scientific works in the area of physical optics. In 1953 he developed a method of holography with recording in three-dimensional mediums. Denisiuk received the Lenin Prize in 1970.
