Kaišiadoris

a city (since 1946), the administrative center of Kaišiadoris Raion, Lithuanian SSR. The city is a junction ofrailroad lines to Vilnius, Kaunas, and Šiauliai and is located 69km northwest of Vilnius. A glue factory and a creamery are inKaišiadoris; nearby is the Lithuanian Veterinary Research Insti-tute.
