Kenkeme
Kenkeme
a river in the Yakut ASSR, left tributary of the Lena River. Length, 589 km; basin area; 10,000 sq km. It has two sources, the Nagae-Yibabyt and Eleng-Erete rivers, on the northeastern outskirts of the Lena Plateau. In its lower course the river flows through the Central Yakut lowlands. The river is fed by both snow and rain. It freezes during the winter. The Chakyia is a left tributary of the Kenkeme.
