Makushino

a city (until 1963, a settlement), center of Makushino Raion, Kurgan Oblast, RSFSR. Railroad station on the Kurgan-Petropavlovsk line, 131 km southeast of Kurgan. A mechanical repair plant, a mixed feed plant, and an oil mill are located there. A zoo veterinary technicum and a medical school are in the city.
