Loi-Kaw

a city in the Socialist Republic of the Union of Burma on the Nam Pilu River (Salween Basin). Capital of Kayah National State. Loi-kaw has sawmills and a thermoelectric power plant. Antimony and iron ore are mined nearby. The city is a timber-floating station. [14–1834–5; updated]
