Khalach

an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Khalach Raion, Chardzhou Oblast, Turkmen SSR. Kalach is located near the left bank of the Amu Darya. It is 6 km from the river and 42 km northwest of the Kerkichi railroad station. Rugs are produced in the settlement.
