Khamsara
Khamsara
(in the upper course, Choigan-Khem), a river in the Tuva ASSR, a right tributary of the Bol’shoi Enisei (Bii-Khem). The Khamsara is 325 km long and drains an area of 19,400 sq km. It rises in the Vostochnyi Sajan. In its upper course, the river flows through two lakes; its lower course lies in the Todzha Basin. The river is fed primarily by rain. The mean flow rate 178 km from the mouth is 87 cu m per sec. The basin of the Khamsara contains many lakes.
