Niukzha
Niukzha
a river in Chita and Amur oblasts, RSFSR, and a right tributary of the Olekma River in the Lena basin. It is 583 km long and drains an area of 32,100 sq km. The river rises in the Niukzha Range and has many rapids in its upper course. It is fed mainly by rain, and its average discharge is about 310 cu m per sec. The Niukzha freezes in October and thaws in late April or early May. Its largest tributary (left) is the Lopcha River.
