Model T coil

Model T coil

An ignition coil used on a Model T automobile. Instead of having one coil, one condenser, and one set of points and sequentially switching the high-voltage output to each cylinder’s spark plugs, the Model T used a separate coil and condenser (in a wooden box approximately 2 x 31/4 x 5 inches in size) for each cylinder and sequentially switched the primary current from coil to coil.
