Kholui

an urban-type settlement in Iuzha Raion, Ivanovo Oblast, RSFSR. Kholui is located on the Teza River (a tributary of the Kliaz’ma), 71 km from the Shuia railroad station on the Ivanovo-Novki line. Kholui is one of the centers of Russian miniature painting on papier-mâché lacquerware. Industry also includes sewing and embroidery. An art trade union school and a museum of applied art are located in Kholui.
