an urban-type settlement in Volovets Raion, Transcarpathian Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, 14 km from the Volovets railroad station. Nizhnie Vorota has enterprises of the food industry and is the site of the Carpathian Regional Agricultural Experiment Station.
