Khudaiberdyev, Narmakhonmadi

Born Feb. 10, 1928, in the kishlak (hamlet) of Iatak, in what is now Farish Raion, Dzhizak Oblast, Uzbek SSR. Soviet state and party figure. Candidate of veterinary sciences (1953). Member of the CPSU since 1948.

The son of a peasant, Khudaiberdyev graduated from the V. V. Kuibyshev Uzbek Agricultural Institute in 1949. Between 1952 and 1954 he was initially an assistant and then a docent at the Uzbek Agricultural Institute. From 1954 to 1957 he was deputy chairman of the Bukhara oblast executive committee and secretary of the party’s oblast committee. From 1957 to 1960 he held a position in the apparatus of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Uzbekistan and served as second secretary of the party’s Bukhara oblast committee.

Khudaiberdyev was deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Uzbek SSR in 1960 and 1961, first secretary of the Surkhandar’ia oblast committee in 1961 and 1962, and a secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Uzbekistan from 1962 to 1965. He served as minister of agriculture of the Uzbek SSR from 1965 to 1971, when he became chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Uzbek SSR. Khudaiberdyev was a candidate member of the Central Committee of the CPSU from 1961 to 1966 and became a member in 1971. He served as a deputy to the sixth, ninth, and tenth convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

Khudaiberdyev has been awarded two Orders of Lenin, two other orders, and various medals.
