male genital tract cancer

A generic term for a malignancy arising in tissues of the male reproductive tract. Tumours of the testes are more common in younger men and divided into germ cell tumours (seminoma, embryonal carcinoma, yolk sac tumour, teratoma) and sex cord tumours (Leydig cell, Sertoli cell). Cancer of the penis and prostate and lymphomas of the testis are more common in older males.
