adenoangiosarcoma

adenoangiosarcoma

A rarely used term for angiosarcoma with glandular differentiation. The modern equivalent based on current dogma is that
(1) The primary malignancy is mesenchymal (i.e., a sarcoma) and the epithelium (glands) are metaplastic (benign); or
(2) Both mesenchymal and epithelial elements are malignant, in which case it would be labelled adenosarcoma.
