Location:In Oceano, 3 miles south of the city of Pismo Beach, off Highway 1.
Facilities:Primitive camping on beach and open dune area, vault and chemicaltoilets, picnic areas, trails, beach wheelchair rentals.
Activities:Camping, OHV riding, hiking, swimming, surf fishing, horseback riding, bird watching.
Special Features:Area isamong the most popular and unique of California state parks, attractingvisitors from across the United States. Five and a half miles of beachare open for vehicle use, and 1,500 acres of sand dunes are availablefor off-highway motor vehicle riding. Oceano Dunes is the onlyCalifornia state park where vehicles may be driven on the beach. Fourwheel drive vehicles are recommended for driving to the camping and offhighway vehicle use areas in the park. OHV's must be transported to this point before unloading.
