Nizy

an urban-type settlement in Sumy Raion, Sumy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR; railroad station on the Sumy-Bogodukhov line. Nizy has a sugar refinery, a brickyard, a stock-raising sovkhoz, and enterprises for the production of fruit drinks. A memorial museum has been opened in the house where P. I. Tchaikovsky worked.
