Kievka

an urban-type settlement, center of Nura Raion, Karaganda Oblast, Kazakh SSR. Situated on the Ul’ken-Kundyzdy River (a tributary of the Nura) on a highway, 90 km southwest of the Osakarovka station on the Karaganda-Tselino-grad railroad line and 165 km northwest of Karaganda. Population, 7,000 (1970). Among the industrial enterprises in the settlement are an asphalt works, a brewery, a plant for the repair of agricultural machinery, and a creamery.
