Kilchu-Myongchon Pass

 

a lowland between the Hamgyong and Sangmae-bong ranges in North Korea. Length, 75 km; width, to 20 km. The terrain consists largely of hilly plains broken up by the terraced valleys of the rivers Myongamchon and Namdaechon. A railroad and highway linking the cities of Wonsan and Chongjin run through the pass.
