DictionarySeelonglong-playing record
long-playing recordA vinyl phonograph record 25–30 cm in diameter that plays at approximately 33 revolutions per minute, designed to hold a full album of music (compared to an EP, or "extended-play record," which typically only holds four or five songs). Usually abbreviated "LP." The band only ever put out one long-playing record, but it's considered by many to be a milestone in their genre.See also: recordlong-playing recordA 33 1/3 rpm vinyl phonograph record. Abbreviated LP, a long-playing record that was played at 33 revolutions per minute held more music than did a 45 rpm extended-play record or their 78 rpm shellac and later vinyl predecessor. A 16 rpm record never achieved much popularity.See also: recordlong-playing record
