Special Features:Park is located on the shores of Okmulgee Lake and three miles from Dripping Springs State Park. The name Okmulgee comes from a Creek word meaning boiling or bubbling water, referring to a year-round spring found here. Okmulgee has been the capital of the Creek Nation since the Civil War.
