Kincardine (kĭnkär`dĭn, kĭng–), town (1991 pop. 6,585), S Ont., Canada, on Lake Huron, W of Walkerton. It is a resort that depends largely on jobs provided by the Bruce Nuclear Power Development to the north of the city.
