MammoSite RTS MammoSite RTS A single-use catheter and radiation-solution source used to deliver local radiotheraphy (RT) to the tissue surrounding resected breast cancer. While the tumour is resected, a catheter is inserted into the tumour cavity before closure; after surgery, a radioactive liquid (Iotrex™) is delivered through the catheter to provide local RT directly to the tumour cavity. |
