left hepatic fissure
left hepatic fissure
An anatomic structure variously defined as:(1) The limit between the “academic” right and left lobes of the liver, an intrahepatic plane that functionally separates the left lateral segments drained by the left hepatic veins from the left medial segments drained by the intermediate hepatic veins;
(2) The umbilical fissure (fissure of the round ligament).
