Mogotoevo

a salt lake in the Yakut ASSR, in the northern lana-Indigirka lowland, near the mouth of the Indigirka River. Area, 323 sq km. The shores are low-lying. A channel connects Lake Mogotoevo with Lake Bol’shoe; the lake is also linked with the East Siberian Sea by a short channel. It freezes in late September and thaws in June. The many fish in the lake include the arctic cisco, nelma, and least cisco.
