Osveia, Lake

a lake in Vitebsk Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Covering 52.8 sq km, it has a maximum length of 11.5 km, a maximum width of 5 km, and a maximum depth of 7.5 m. It flows through the Degtiarevka River into Lake Lisno. There are deposits of sapropel. The urban-type settlement of Osveia is situated on the lake.
