Mie-Grüneisen equation

[′mē ′gru̇‚nīz·ən i‚kwā·zhən] (thermodynamics) An equation of state particularly useful at high pressure, which states that the volume of a system times the difference between the pressure and the pressure at absolute zero equals the product of a number which depends only on the volume times the difference between the internal energy and the internal energy at absolute zero.
