Neo-French architecture Neo-French architectureA free interpretation of French Eclectic architecture in the latter part of the 20th century (especially in America, but also elsewhere), often vaguely recalling farmhouses in Normandy. Usually characterized by: steeply pitched, hipped roofs, sometimes with flared eaves; a cylindrical tower with a conical roof; occasionally, false half-timbering; often, rounded or segmental arches over the windows that extend above the line of the eaves. |
