Kiurendag

a mountain range in the Kopetdag system, located in the west of the Turkmen SSR. Length, approximately 60 km. The range is composed of limestones and clays. Relief shows low mountains with elevations to 971 m (Mount Kiuren). Ephemeral-plant and wormwood deserts (in combination with saltwort deserts) predominate, giving way above 500 m to subtropical steppes.
