Moldoveniaska

Moldoveniaska

a Moldavian folk dance in 2/4 time with the accent on the second beat. It has a fast tempo and a predominantly rondo form. The circle, with which the dance usually begins, is formed from a different figure each time. The moldoveniaska is often performed not only by amateur groups but on the professional ballet stage as well. A variation of the dance, known as mulduvanska, is popular in Bulgaria.
