Lemeshev, Viacheslav Ivanovich

Born Apr. 3, 1952, in Moscow. Soviet boxer, Honored Master of Sport (1972), an officer of the Soviet Army.

Lemeshev was Olympic champion (1972, Munich), champion of Europe (1973 and 1975; in junior competition, 1970 and 1972) in the middleweight category, and champion of the USSR (1974). He has been awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.
