Location:East on Hwy 80 off I-55, 14 miles south of East Prairie on Highway 102 in Mississippi County.
Facilities:Day-use park with picnic sites, picnic shelter, hiking and interpretive trails (é), boat ramp, nature center, interpretive exhibits.
Activities:Lake fishing, hiking, picnicking.
Special Features:Park derives its name from giant trees, some of which have beenidentified as the largest of their species within the state, and twothat are national champions. The park's cypress swamp, with its bald cypress trees, is the only one of itskind in the state. A boardwalk through the park allowsvisitors a close-up view of this remnant of the vast swamp forest that once covered Missouri's "bootheel" region.
