Molecular Roentgenography

Roentgenography, Molecular

a branch of X-ray diffraction analysis that studies the structure of molecules in condensed states, for example, in crystals, amorphous substances, and molecular fluids. Roentgenograms on which one or more scattered diffusion rings appear are obtained in the molecular analysis of gases and vapors; and in many cases such roentgenograms make it possible to determine the interatomic distances in a molecule.
