Molochansk

a city incorporated in 1938 in Zaporozh’e Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on the Molochnaia River. Its station on the Fedorovka-Verkhnii Tokmak railroad line is designated Polugorod. Population, 10,400 (1973). Furniture, condensed milk, and beer are produced locally; a silkworm hatchery and the foundry and machine shop of the Tokmak Household Metal Products Plant also operate in the city. A fruit tree nurserysovkhoz and a livestock breeding station are located in Molochansk.
