Leonid Khodskii
Khodskii, Leonid Vladimirovich
Born 1854; died 1919. Russian economist and statistician.
Khodskii graduated from the juridical faculty of the University of St. Petersburg. In 1895 he became a professor of finance law at the university. He also taught political economy and statistics at the St. Petersburg Institute of Forestry. In his publicist writings, Khodskii supported the bourgeois democrats (see V. I. Lenin, Poln. sobr. soch., 5th ed., vol. 12, p. 159). He was a member of the statistics commission of the Free Economic Society and was the editor and publisher of the scholarly journal Narodnoe khoziaistvo (1900–05) and the Left Cadet newspaper Nasha zhizn’ (1904–06). Khodskii emigrated after the October Revolution of 1917.
