Surgery
The surgical lysis of (intra-abdominal) adhesions, usually by laparoscopy.
Contraindications to surgical adhesiolysis
• Hemodynamic instability;
• Uncorrected coagulopathy;
• Severe cardiopulmonary disease;
• Abdominal wall infection;
• Multiple previous upper abdominal procedures;
• Late pregnancy.
