Milan Stojadinovic

Stojadinović, Milan

 

Born Aug. 4, 1888, in Chacak; died Oct. 24, 1961, in Buenos Aires. State and political figure of royal Yugoslavia.

Stojadinović graduated from the University of Belgrade in 1910. He was minister of finance from 1922 to 1926 and in 1934 and 1935 and served as prime minister and secretary of state of Yugoslavia from 1935 to 1939. In his domestic policy he sought to strengthen the antipopular regime and establish fascism in Yugoslavia. In 1935 he founded and headed the Yugoslav Radical Union. Stojadinovic spent his last years in Argentina.
