Momine-Khatun

 

a mausoleum in Nakhichevan’, an outstanding example of medieval Azerbaijani architecture. Erected in 1186 by the architect Adzhemi, the mausoleum is a tower-like ten-sided brick building; it is 25 m tall. The sides are decorated with Kufic inscriptions and geometric and foliage designs of unglazed and glazed turquoise bricks.
